The filter cloth is generally made of polyester, polypropylene and vinylon, which has been identified by relevant health departments and is used in food, medicine and other industries without side effects on human health. Before use in food and pharmaceutical industries, wash it with warm water to avoid dirt entering the cloth. When cutting the filter cloth, iron it with an electric iron (1500W electric iron) to prevent loose lines in latitude and longitude. Sewing thread must use the same performance thread; if filter cloth is used, if the cloth hole is blocked by dregs, and the cloth body is difficult to affect the filtering speed, acetone, oxalic acid, toluene, caustic soda, alcohol and other solution properties can be selected according to various fibers. Soaking, cleaning (washing) and (depending on the concentration) can make the cloth soft, restore the hydrophobicity and air permeability of the filter cloth, and improve the utilization rate of the filter cloth.
When using the filter cloth, the two sides should be flattened, and the tie should be placed above the filter plate. The front and back of the filter cloth should be flat to cover the filter plate. One of the filter cloth should be rolled into a slender tube, and then pass through the feed port in the middle of the filter press. Check whether the inlet (outlet) hole on the filter cloth is aligned with the filter plate.
Causes of filter cloth misalignment and wrinkling: 1. Insufficient tension can cause wrinkling. Although the filter is equipped with weighted rotating wheels for tensioning the filter cloth, the wheels also require additional weighting. The roller slider has a recess for weighting. 2. Improper bonding of filter cloth at the joint will also cause wrinkling. 3. Sometimes the deposition of solids on the filter cloth roller or sliding adjustment block will cause the filter cloth to be misaligned and wrinkled. When this happens, stop the filter and thoroughly clean the drum and sliding adjustment block. Start up the drive and readjust the filter cloth in order to neutralize and tension. Then carefully observe the solid accumulation during the normal operation of the filter. If necessary, increase the amount of flushing water to flush out any residual solids.
